Some ministers fear that coronavirus may have originated in a Chinese research lab, and not in Wuhan’s wet market as most sources claims
According to the Mail on Sunday, the senior government sources are considering the possibility that the novel Coronavirus might have leaked from a research facility that is in China.
‘The balance of scientific advice’ still suggests that Wuhan’s wet market is still believed to be the source of the COVID-19 outbreak. However, these sources are saying that the idea that the virus might have primarily leaked from Wuhan’s research laboratory is ‘no longer being discounted.’
According to one of the members of COBRA, which is the government’s emergency committee, the latest evidence that they have no longer rules out the possibility that COVID-19 was leaked from China’s laboratory.
