A video posted on Facebook capturing a horrifying attack on a dog by a raccoon has gone viral. Not just because of how dangerous raccoons can be when it attacks, but because of how impressively brave is the dog’s owner; who you can see her kicking away the raccoon, that attacks her beloved four-legged friend, without thinking.
In that disturbing video, you can see how that raccoon is running towards the dog determined to cause him/her serious harm. And that, according to experts, can be a deadly attack, because raccoons are known for having one of the highest rates of rabies infection compared to other mammals.
Not just that, but, Wildlife Trapper Ray Simonsen, said that once he saw that raccoon attacks that poor dog he was not surprised, but he was concerned.
And accordingly, he advised the dog’s owner to take the dog to the vet and check if there is a scratch, bitten or there is something to worry about. Because if there is saliva or something on him/her she needs to take precautionary measures to make sure her dog is healthy.
However, even though most of the comments encouraged the women, and saluted her for her braveness and her willingness of doing anything to save her dog. Some of them were against her, and they thought that she could be less aggressive with the raccoon. What do you think?
