Liberty has said that the bond she shares with Wilbur is the type of bond that someone would forge with a dog. Liberty sees her sheep as a pet and adores the fact that her Wilbur smiles a lot.
He may also act like a dog because he has been around dogs for his entire life, and he is best friends with them.
