The conflict got worse in Syria. Sean was told that he would never return to Syria again. But, Sean couldn’t just leave her so he contacted an organization that specializes in finding dogs in areas that are destroyed.
He also started a fundraiser online to bring the puppy, who he named Barrie, to England. Barrie was taken in a truck out of Syria.
Once she arrived in Iraq, she was transported to Jordania. Then, a vet from War Paws Organization was in Iraq and traveled with her from Asia to Paris.
There, Sean and Barrie met again. Sean was worried that she wouldn’t remember him but Barrie never left his side ever again.
All throughout the entire process of bringing Barrie to England, everyone would tell Sean that he saved her life.
However, Sean thinks that she was the one who saved his life. They both changed each other’s lives.
