People Rush to Rescue Dog Trapped on A Drowning Truck in River [Video]

Washington, DC. Spectators watched intensely as a truck that has rolled downstream was going down with a scared dog that’s trapped in the back of the truck.

Once the owners reached safety themselves, they immediately called a rescue crew which was able to get there quite quickly.

The river was tough, but the well-trained rescuers were able to get close enough to the truck to begin the rescue.

As for the dog, he was terrified. It wasn’t clear he was injured or not at this point, and rescuers tried to get the dog to go to them, but the scared dog refused to move even one inch.

That’s when one of the brave rescuers decided to take things a step further and jumped into the back of the truck to get the dog.

He/She was very smart about it as well. Taking a moment to test how scared is the dog and see if the dog is okay with anyone approaching him.

The rescuer touched the dog and pet them before getting close to them to ensure the dog that they are here to help him and will not cause him any harm.

Finally, the rescuer was able to grab the poor dog and deliver him to the other rescuer on the boat. That’s quite impressive considering the dog looks quite big and heavy, maybe around the 50-60 pounds mark.

When they moved the dog to the boat, everyone watching immediately cheered and you can feel the relief in everyone’s voices and see it in their faces.

It took them some time but they were finally able to get the dog to the safety of land. An intense and amazing rescue indeed!

Transporting a dog in the back of a pickup truck has many dangers, and it’s much better to keep the dog in the cabin with you.
