“I’m going to need you to be very honest with me,” the vet requested. “Does anyone in your house smoke cannabis?”
That took Lily off guard. Then she recalled that she a party the day before, where some people might have consumed weed.
“Alright, I just need to let you know, your dog is really high right now,” the veterinarian explained.
“My emotions were all over the place,” she admitted. “Apparently someone left weed chocolate on the ground or something, and she ate it.”
This just goes to show you, you need to be really careful with what you leave around the house or you might unintentionally get your dog very sick.
I am glad that this story had a good ending, but many dogs become sick when they consume foods that are considered to be toxic to them.
