An Illinois man has been reunited with Lucca, his guide dog, after one of the teens who stole the dog had a change of heart.

Coachman’s purebred German Shepherd was missing for three days after a group of teens stole the dog from his back yard.
Coachman, who became completely blind a few years ago after he was shot during a carjacking, has been accompanied by Lucca for a year and prayed for his return home.
The 58-year-old eventually received a phone call from a neighborhood teen who said his friends had taken Lucca and he knew it was wrong.
I was sitting right here, and he walked up and gave it to me and told me his name and told me what he was doing,
Coachman said.
Since the news of his dog’s return, congratulations have been flooding.
When I heard him say, you know, ‘Please return his dog or at least be good to the dog because he’s a good dog,’ it made me cry,
“I’m so proud he got his dog back because I like the dog, too
We’re so glad the two are reunited.
