Turkey and Vegetable Mash

Going back to using turkey meat, this recipe is from Skinny Ms this site is a full-service site for everyone who is trying to become more healthy to become more caring for general wellness for their pets.

Ingredients

  • Lean ground turkey (2 pounds)
  • Cauliflower florets (one cup)
  • Sliced zucchini (half cup)
  • 2 medium carrots chopped
  • Broccoli florets (a cup)
  • Olive oil (2 teaspoons)
  • Raw turkey or chicken liver( diced or pureed 2 teaspoons)

Methods

Boil one and a half cup of water and steam the carrots over it in a steam basket. Give the carrots enough time to become tender on the steam basket, it would take about 10 minutes.

Add the broccoli, zucchini, cauliflower in the steam basket and continue to steam the rest of the vegetables until all of them are tender and after they are done leave them to cool down.

At the same time, take the turkey with the chicken liver puree in a skillet and cook them over medium heat until there is no pink color of the turkey meat if you find any excess fat, discard it.

Take the broccoli, zucchini, and cauliflower to chop them in a food processor, usually, it would take only three pulses to get the vegetable into chopped consistency similar to canned food. You could use a knife to cut the vegetable if there is no food processor available.

The last step is to add the chopped veggies to the turkey and stir them together with the two teaspoons of olive oil, let the mash cool and then divided them into portions for your dog.
