A German Shepherd named Marley was lying on the roadside, and by her side, a fluffy red dog sat patiently, guarding the pregnant German Shepherd and refusing to leave until help gets there.
We don’t know how long they spent there, but it was a while, and while cars went and came, no one stopped to check on the animals or rescue them.
Until finally one decided to take action.

Faith Easdale, a rescuer with Dream Fetchers: Project Rescue, told The Dodo.
She added that Marley was in terrible distress and pain. She was breathing heavily and they weren’t sure if the dog was going to make it.
However, even after help arrived, her red friend refused to leave. She was going to stick with her to the end. Esdale and another man went ahead to lift Marley into the car.
“She was very heavy and hard to move, but we did it,Murphy wouldn’t leave her side on the street.”
