30 Cats and Five Dogs were rescued from what we can call “deplorable conditions” at the very least.

Authorities responded to a complaint from a resident on Friday about a bad odor coming from the house. They obtained a warrant to search the property located at the intersection of Bakerstown Culmerville and Stewart Street.

One of the neighbors claims that he/she has complained to the authorities about the debris strewn around the house in question and the overwhelming bad smell coming from the house in the summer.

In the house were 30 cats and 5 dogs, all of which were living in terrible conditions and didn’t even have water at the time of the arrest. The house was infested with fleas and was very unsanitary.

The rescued animals were taken in by Animal Friends who will be evaluating the condition of each of them and will be taking care of them until they find new homes.

Animal Friends is seeking help in the way of donations and new homes for the animals they now have. They are currently filled to capacity and would like to encourage people to adopt some of their cats.

You can also donate canned cat food, incontinence pads, and non-destructible toys.
