A dog breeder was convicted of cruelty after the authorities discovered he was breeding animals in dark kennels and found more than 20 dogs in dark, cold kennels.
Out of the 20 dogs were eight puppies who have never seen the light or felt warmth as they were born in the dark, cold kennels and lived their whole lives trapped there.
One of the puppies was just four-weeks old when found, and he was found dead in the bottom of a blood-soaked freezer.
39-year-old Mark Brugess was convicted of eight animal welfare offenses. Unfortunately, Mark had a successful business selling puppies to people.
He was accused of abuse before when four people who have bought puppies from his farm between Dec 2017 and Feb 2018 got sick only days after their owners brought them home and tragically died.
