A Facebook post has recently went viral where Lexie Daniel told the story of how a Park Ranger at Mt. Tammany in NJ saved a dog’s life when the owner could do nothing to help him.
Ranger K. Salapek was heading back from their hike with Daniel’s group when they came upon the dog laying on the ground and panting, clearly exhausted from the heat.
They gave the dog whatever water they had left, but he knew the water would do very little to change the situation.
So, the amazing park ranger picked up the dog, which is clearly more than 100 pounds, and threw him over his shoulders.
He then carried the dog all the way down the incredibly rocky hill till they reached the stream. He then laid down the dog and knelt beside him, pouring water over the poor dog.
The ranger then picked the dog up and carrier him over his shoulder one more time and walked all the way to the street. The ranger literally carried this +100lb dog over his shoulder for miles up and down rocky hills to save the dog’s life, and he is nothing but a true hero!
People have been praising the amazing ranger for saving the dog’s life, and he definitely deserve the praise and recognition for his work.
